The Allegro Club Rally was in Foxboro , Massachusetts from Sept. 26 to the 30 at Normandy Farms RV Resort. It is a beautiful RV park. We came in on Sunday ($57 a night a little pricey, but offers a lot for the price). The recreation center where we had all our activities. It also has an inside pool and fitness center.

There were 153 rigs at the rally.

We had some service done on Monday by the tech team that was here from Red Bay. Our thermostat was replaced.

We had our navigation system updated and our phones programed to it( so we are now hand free). We didn't have any idea of all it could do.

This park offers a lot to keep you entertained. Shuffle board, we played a game or two.

Three outside pools. We had nice weather until Thursday but a little cool for swimming outside for me.

We hadn't played disc golf for a few years, but we had our Frisbees with us and enjoyed playing a couple of games.

Sorry for the poor picture but I wanted you to see how you play disc golf. It is like real golf except you throw a frisbee.

and after a few throws it has to land in here.

We had a catered dinner each evening. A good opportunity to met new people. This couple was from Ohio.

Wednesday morning we all loaded onto buses at 8:30 and headed to Providence, Rhode Island for a guided bus tour.

We learned much about the history of Rhode Island and Providence.
The capital building.

A statue of Roger Williams who founded Rhode Island after fleeing from Massachusetts in 1636.

Providence has 4 colleges, many restaurants, and art centers. During the year it has several water and fire evenings where they light up the cauldrons on the rivers.

After the bus tour we had a Lighthouse Bay Cruise. It was a beautiful clear day and we could see everything.

It was a narrated cruise and very interesting. We got to see 10 light houses and each one had a story.

Plum beach lighthouse

A view of it with the Jamestown bridge.

Dutch Island Lighthouse

Whale Rock, all that is left of this lighthouse

Beavertail Lighthouse

Castle Rock lighthouse, the smallest lighthouse.

Queen Mary 2 anchored at Newport.

Naval war college at Newport.

Newport Harbor with lots of beautiful sailboats.

Lots of America Cup winners.

Lobster boats

More lighthouses, this is Rose Island where you can stay for a night.

This bridge is being painted. The barge below holds the tanks of paint and is pumped up the hoses to the bridge.

Lighthouse on Conanicut Island is now a residence.

We went here for lunch before heading back to Normandy Farms. We got back by 4 and then Larry and I went and played 9 holes of golf at Willowdale a near by golf course. A very full day.We had lots of fun dancing on Tuesday evening and Thursday after lunch.

This is Tammy Wyatt a professional line dance teacher from Ontario. She taught several line dances to the group. I shared some of the dances I have with her and she has a good web site for dances at

Thursday afternoon we played Minute to Win It.

He was able to bounce a pencil into each mug.

I got one in!

Keeping three balloons in the air for a minute was impossible! Even when we tried to do it as a couple.

Thursday night this high school jazz band entertained us during dinner.

This rally has really gone quickly and hard to beleive we leave tomorrow.
