WRESTLING AT DISNEY

Our grandson,Chase, flew down from PA on Friday to go to Wide World of Sports at Disney for a wrestling tournament. He is staying with us, while the rest of the team is at a hotel. We only live a little over 10 miles from the Wide World of Sports.
We have never been  here before. It is a very big complex with lots of sports going on. There was baseball, volleyball and wrestling at least occurring this week.
On this floor there were 16 mats. and there were two other areas were teams were wrestling also.
This is the team Chase is on. They have been doing an excellent job, most pinning their opponent or at least scoring a lot of points.
Larry went on Sunday and watched Chase wrestle. They wrestled three times each day. Chase pinned this opponent.
 Two other matches.

I went with them on Monday. This is not my favorite sport, but I did enjoy watching it more then I thought I would. Unfortunately one of the opponents was hurt while wrestling one of Chase's team mate. He was taken to the hospital we think with a broken rib.
Chase only wrestled twice this day because the first team didn't have a wrestler in his weight (178) category. He pinned his opponent in both of his matches. This match was over in less then a minute.
He fought for this match, but got him pinned.
 Chase declared the winner.
These six pinned their opponent in that team, so another successful day of wrestling ends. They wrestle for two more days. Thursday night Chase will stay at the hotel for they fly home Friday morning at 8:30. We enjoy having him visit us and watching him wrestle.

1776

When we had Karla and Vic over for their Christmas present of a pizza dinner at our home they mentioned they were going to see 1776 on Sunday. I was able to get tickets. So after church on Sunday we went out for lunch at Lilly's on the Lake and then to this theatre in Clermont to see 1776.
This gentleman started the show off with some patriotic songs.
The story is based on the events surrounding the signing of the Declaration of Independence in hot humid Philadelphia. The actors didn't have to act much for the hot condition, there seemed to be little air conditioning in the theatre. I was hot is my dress, so they must have been sweating in their heavy clothing.

Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin and John Adams.

John Adam had the main role. It is a musical and he had a great voice, as did all the performers.
Ben Franklin getting John Adams to compromise. He played a great role.
After the show the actors were out front for us to congratulate them on a excellent show. It is the first time we have gone to this theatre and we look forward to seeing other shows they put on.
