END OF VISIT

Mystique braved the crowds at Walmart and got floaties and this whale for Averie. She played in the pool while I got dinner ready on Friday night.
She wouldn't go any deeper then the steps.

Saturday morning we watched hot air balloons go over the house.  During the day we saw the alligator on the bank of our pond and watched a heron catch some fish.
Mystique and her dad went to the Eustis Gun Club to practice shooting. Vi, Averie and I spent the morning at the pool. Averie got brave enough to leave the steps and swim around. After lunch she went back to the pool with Mystique and had fun playing in the water with some other children.
Vi and I enjoyed playing many games of Rummikub.

Averie and Grandpa watched a National Geographic show on TV about animals. Averie has seen it before and it was so cute hearing their conversation.
Sunday morning we took them to the airport.  We are so glad they came to visit.

DAY 2 OF VISIT

Friday morning we went to Weeki Wachee State Park to see the Mermaid show. Averie was so excited. Vi decided to stay home and enjoy sitting around our house.
I didn't take any picture of Averie at the show, but Mystique has some great ones of her face as she watched the show.. She is so cute. Here she is a mermaid along with her mermaid doll from the gift store.
Averie enjoyed playing at the playground.
I didn't realize it was opening day at Buccaneer Bay, their water park, and it is part of your admission.

Even though we didn't come prepared with swim suits, Mystique rented a tube and floated down the spring.

It moves at 5 miles an hour and it was only for a short distance, so it was a fast trip.

They could have used the tube all day, but we were scheduled for the boat ride.

It is a nice, short narrated boat ride, explaining about the spring and Weeki Wachee river and some of the wild life and plants along the way. It was a beautiful warm day and Averie wanted to go back to the water park, but we headed home to swim at our pool.

A QUICK VISIT

I picked Mystique. Vi (Mystique's grandmother) and Averie up at the airport on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.. They are staying with us for four days.  On Thursday morning Larry and Mystique worked out at the gym. While they were gone Vi heard from her son, who happened to be staying for a week in Clearwater. He invited us to come over for a visit.  We arrived at 2 and headed to the beach.

The house they rented was north of Clearwater so their beach was not crowded.  They had the beach  all set up for us with chairs, umbrella and drinks. Larry (Vi's son) and Molly rent the house with some friends.
Averie spent the day down by the water.
She loved playing in the waves.
Mystique, Averie and I  built a sand castle together.

The finished product.

Mystique and her grandmother had time to sit and relax by the water.
Averie  resting.
We left the beach and headed home around 6. The traffic was very heavy, so we didn't eat till almost 8. Mystique and Vi wanted seafood for dinner,we went to Harry's Seafood Bar and Grill in Lakeland. We all had delicious meals and glad we waited.

GUESS WHO

On March 10th we went into Epcot for the concert at the Flower and Garden festival.
Larry loved it. They really rocked out. American Women was the song I remembered.
Definitely not the original singers, but they could sure play the guitar and sing.
