BACK TO EPCOT

We braved the heat, humidity and the threat of storms and went to Epcot on Monday, August 22 to see Air Supply.
They have been performing together for 47 years. They sang their 1980 hits All Out of Love and Every Woman in the World.  Guitarist Graham Russell played a mean guitar solo.
Lead vocalist is Russel Hitchcock.
They were usually singing from opposite sides of the stage. This was the only time I think they stood beside each other.  It was a good concert, well attended and it never stormed.

GODIVA

We have had Godiva for 16 years. She has traveled throughout the USA, including Alaska. She has had many adventures- climbed trees, gotten out and explored at campgrounds (including at a road stop in Alaska), lost for four days at RV Service Repair shop ( went back and found her), taken many walks on a leash, and given many kitten lick kisses. A few months ago she was diagnosed with kidney failure. We tried K food and medicine, but her days were numbered. Lately she wasn't eating much of anything, started getting us up all through the night, and often had a piecing cry and seemed lost. We knew it was time to say goodby. So yesterday we took her to the vet and  had her put to sleep. Goodby sweet kitty.

WILDWOOD DAYS

I flew to Philadelphia on July 28th. My flight was at 7 in the morning so I got to the airport at 5. The line for the TSA was very long. It took over 1/2 hour to get through.  Lynda picked me up and we visited for a few days and on Saturday we went to Wildwood for the week.
Lynda had cataract surgery on her left eye the week before. Her vision was corrected to 20/20 in that eye, so the lens in her glasses was taken out. However her glasses have photo grey lenses in them so when when she is in the sun they turn dark. She looks like a pirate, since her glasses have only one lens. She will have her other eye done later in August and may only need reading glasses.  She has worn glasses since she was in 7th grade.

Monday was a little cloudy so we went out to lunch at the Jellyfish and then decided to go up to the boardwalk. Wildwood Crest  begins at the end of the boardwalk.
New boardwalk sign.

the boardwalk is 2 1/2 miles long so we rode the tram to North Wildwood. We walked for a little bit and played  11 games of skee ball at an arcade. Lynn, a friend who comes with us for the week rode the tram back to the Crest and I walked it. I made it back before they did.

All the other days I spent about 4 hours at the beach.  This is a selfie since I was down by myself. I took walks along the water and went in a few times. It was a little cold the beginning of the week.
Our  apartment is three blocks from the beach. Then there is this wooden path along the sand, then more distance to the water.  Lynda decided she wasn't up to the walk so didn't come to the beach at all. Lynn likes the beach and came down most days, but she had to go back to her home  Wednesday afternoon and didn't get back to late Thursday afternoon. That is why I was alone at the beach, quite time to read and enjoy.

We came back to Lynda's on Saturday and then went and visited Bob, Felicia, and Lucas after church on Sunday. I had seen their apartment in January when the first got it, but it was nice seeing it with furniture and decorated. I also got to meet their new puppy Phoebe.

I flew back to Florida on Monday morning at 11. It was a full flight. A little turbulence when we were landing because of storms, but nothing bad.  Glad I had the week at the shore, and good to be home.
