There were lots of things to buy.
Even all the trees were for sale.
This was my purchase of a pretty fall arrangement. There were so many to choose from.
Larry and I have been enjoying attending the Clermont Academy every Thursday night. We have visited the police station, public works, water and sewer, parks department and the Historic Village. Each of them has been very interesting and informative. Makes you proud to be from Clermont. This is the Historic Village. Our tour was in the evening so I need to go back and take a tour during the day when you can go inside the homes.
This building housed soldiers during World War II to train them to use searchlights.
Lots of interesting stories.
Our last night we went to the Performance Art Center and had a tour, some entertainment, and a graduation ceremony.
Clermont Academy class of 2018
We had our pictures taken with Gail Ash, Clermont's mayor and Darren Gray the City Manager.
Gail was at everyone of our Thursday night classes. You could see she has a nice rapport with each of the departments.
On Monday, November 19th we took a Mental Health First Aid course. It was all day and trained us to provide initial help to people experiencing problems such as depression, anxiety disorders, psychosis and substance use disorders. One of the instructors for the course started and trained us for Connection Helpline here in Florida in 2009. The program allowed us to answer calls and assist people from our RV. It was nice to know it is still in operations.
