I spent the end of June doing my late spring cleaning, or is that my early summer?... I emptied and reorganized all 24 cabinets and 5 drawers in the kitchen. I washed them inside and out and cleaned and treated the counter. I love my large kitchen, but white cabinets do get dirty easily.
Tuesday morning, June 28th we packed up the RV and went to DeSota State Park. It is over on the coast below St. Petersburg. It is a hard park to get into, but Larry has had luck calling and getting last minute reservations. It is 100 miles away, so close enough for me to drive over in the car so we have a vehicle. It is a Prius hybrid so not towable. We had this site right by the water for the first night.
Wednesday morning this is what I saw when I looked out the back window. Larry fishing.
We had to move to another site for the next two days, We had to leave the campground at 11 and then check in again at 1 o'clock. We went over to the beach, parked the RV and had lunch. At one Larry took the RV back to the campground and I went to the beach. Read a book, took a couple dips and enjoyed the beautiful day.
One last move on Friday. We had a NOMADS Project Coordinator zoom meeting at noon so we went to the closes beach parking lot, found a little shade and got on the meeting before we checked in to our third site. It was nice and long. All the sites had to be in the part of the park where they allow pets, since we had Godiva along. She enjoys investigating each of our sites.
It was a little too hot, humid and buggy to eat out. But we had no rain.
He had a new reel and line and after watching a lot of You Tube he had fun just trying it out.
We came back home Saturday morning. It was a nice little get away.
