August 17 we went over to Sarasota, Florida to so a site visit at St. James Methodist church. It has lots of rooms to be painted and floors to be striped and polished. Unfortunately at this time they do not have any parking for RVs available.
We couldn't go to the beaches in Sarasota because of Red Tide and lots of dead fish. We went to Clearwater late in the afternoon for some time at the beach and then a meal at Clear Sky. We then went to a hotel in St. Pete for the night
Saturday morning Larry had to be at a church bright and early for Walk to Emmaus training. I went back to Clearwater.
A selfie. It was a beautiful day at the beach. Water was warm and perfect for floating.
Larry has been very busy with developing a Ministry for Safe and Secure Church for FUMC, training for Walk to Emmaus, and writing his testimony for Celebrate Recovery. August 23 he gave his testimony at our CR meeting, He did a great job.
On Wednesday, August 29th, we took 150 mile drive to Pahokee to do a site visit at the Methodist Church.
The church needs NOMADS to help with some maintenance and up keep.
The RVs will be parked at this campground less than mile away.
The sites are right on Lake Okeechobee with full hook-up. The project is now scheduled for period 4, March 2019. We hope they get a team signed up.
