Two trucks arrived at 7 and everything was unloaded and set up. It is very organized. You don't have to bring anything, they have it all, even gloves.
At 9 we gathered for pray and instructions.
Bill, the gentleman on the left is the coordinator for this West Orlando chapter, and Aaron, the gentleman on the right is the one from our Celebrate Recovery that brought this service project to our attention. Pastor Dawn saying a prayer.
Sanding the boards is a big part of the job. At least 50 sanders were going all morning. I think it took a day for my hand to stop vibrating.
My neighbor, Pat came and sanded.

Holes were drilled into the boards, so they could easily be put together.
The headboards were stained and coated.

All the pieces for the bed are packaged together and then people sign up to go deliver the bed and put it together for the family. We had at least 4 people from our church ask for beds for their children. No child should have to sleep on the floor. If you hear of this organization building beds in your area go and give them some help.
