TO PENNSYLVANIA BY WAY OF TENNESSE

Sandhill crane family came  to say goodbye on July 21 as we were leaving to go north.

 The babies have really grown.

We made it to Tennessee by July 25. The brake buddy in the car locked up in Alabama. Larry was able to pull over, but we left some rubber on the road. Larry thought he fixed the brake buddy and we continued our trip. The next thing our brake buddy monitor in the RV said the car had low power and it was turning off. We stopped at the next exit and found the car battery was dead and we were locked out of the car. After calling the Chevy dealership and learning how to unlock the car, we realized the car was not getting power from the RV as it was suppose to. Our next stop was at Camping World were they said they fixed it, the little green light that indicated we were getting power from the RV was on and we were ready to go. We arrived at the next campground with a dead battery. The little green light stayed on even when the car wasn't hooked up to the RV.  The people at the campground jumped the car for us and I drove behind the RV to Shelbyville Tennessee.  And of course the RV steps are not working now.

The reason we were in Shelbyville was to check out this location to hold the 2025 NOMADS annual meeting. It is the Walking Horse capital.
They have three large areas to park in. This is were parked while we were here, but is not the area the NOMADS will be using.

Tammy and Rodney Ripley also came, for in 2025 he will be the chair. Their car lost its transmission in Virginia, so we all had an adventurous and expensive trip here.

On Wednesday Travis took us on a tour of the grounds and buildings we will be using.

Going into the Blue Ribbon Circle Club.

This is the building where we will hold most of the events.

The room is very large and has a kitchen.
Right outside under the stadium  is an area we could use for a workshop.
The other building we will have to use is very large also.
This is the area where we will be parking.
Poles are marked and they have 30 or 50 electric, water and sewer.
Wednesday evening we went to Bell Buckle and ate at eh Cafe. Everyone told us to go here. We waited a half hour for a table.
There are a lot of cute antique shops, but they were all closed.

Travis  told  us of an RV dealer we could take the car to so I wouldn't have to fix the brake buddy problem. Otherwise I was driving the car and we didn't want that,  It was up the road on our way, so we made an appointment for Thursday morning. When we arrived they didn't seem to know about it, the person who knew about electrical work hadn't shown up to work and we just didn't get a good feeling about it. We did let the look at it and after 4 hours and nothing happening Larry took the car and we left. We had decided to abort the rest of the trip and head back to Florida, with me driving the car. A little ways down the road Larry saw a sign for another RV dealership that he had heard about, so we pulled in. They knew just what to do and got it wired correctly and we were ready to hook up and come to PA. Where are the second set of car keys?  We left them at the other RV dealership so I drove the car back there and Larry and I finally caught up with each other on I40 and hooked back up.
Larry was worried we had ruined the tires on the car when we locked it up, so while we were in Shelbyville we had all new Michelin tires put on. While I was driving I felt the car shake if I went over 50 miles an hour. It was worse then before we had the tires put on. We had it looked at when we got to Lancaster and found they hadn't been balanced correctly. What a trip.
