REPTILE INVASION

The Bush family came into Lancaster for a friend's birthday party on Saturday morning. After the party they met us at The Pet and Fish Place on Centerville Road. There was a Reptile Invasion event put on by a reptile rescue from Red Lion. The volunteers were great with letting the children touch and hold them.

Ashtyn was very brave. She held this one for a while

until she moved on to the bearded lizard.
Hunter touching the snake.
Averie has the snake around her neck.
Ashtyn holding a snake.
Mystique had this snake around her neck. It loved being in her hair. her hair. Since all of these snakes are rescue they were named. This snake is Cheeto.
Ashtyn with another snake.
Hunter held this snake or
it was holding on to Hunter.
There was a macaw.  Ashtyn wanted to hold it,
then Averie. She was blessed with it pooping down her jacket. It was quickly cleaned up and no damage done.
We then moved over to the stingray tank.  The water was a little deep for Hunter to reach down and touch them.
After exploring around the store we took Hunter to stay with us for the night. This is our late Christmas celebration with him. He wanted some little green army guys, not real easy to find. We finally found one, and only container, at the second Walmart. Of course we found a triceratops he wanted too.  Our RV is a little small for overnight stays, especially for his large air mattress, but we managed. Sunday we went for breakfast at the Pancake House in Ephrata then Sunday School at GT church in Westlawn. It is the church they go to when the visit  Diane's. The weather has turned warm so we stopped at Penney's and got him a light weight Adidas jacket and pant set before lunch at McDonalds. We enjoyed having him visit with us and getting to know him more. He is a very bright kindergartener and talkative young man.
