ANOTHER PROJECT

When we returned we stopped in at the food bank, Pastor Michael asked Larry if he could build a sound booth for him in the back of their church. The church is located in a strip of stores beside Apollo Park East just past 192 on 27. There is no signage allowed to indicate the church location.
On Monday Larry, with help from Lopez, framed it out.

Put the floor board on. All the wiring made the flooring a little challenging.

Carpet was put on and walls started to be installed.
Lopez gave Larry a hand in the building. Larry does such a nice job of showing him how and what to do, and Lopez is a fast learner.
 Front wall being installed and
drywall hung. Now for the end wall.
 Walls done by Tuesday afternoon.

ON Wednesday the shelf was made, carpeted and installed.
On Thursday I mudded the dry wall, while  Larry put on the top edge board. We really were in each others way.  There were four outer corners to mud.  Pastor Michael didn't want a lot of dust, for his main sound person is very allergic. I tried to do apply as little mud as possible, wet sand and apply another coat or two.
These end corners took a lot of work and sanding. Larry finished sanding it out.  That was all I had left to paint.
Larry nailed  the white trim on the bottlom.
By Friday afternoon the sound booth was finished.
Pastor Michael laid out the wires.
 And connected the sound equipment.

They have been having church here for the past two weeks.  The first week they had 40 and last week 25. He had the room professional cleaned and sanitized before opening and the chairs are spread out for social distancing.

Behind the church  is a very nice day care. That is his business and hopes to be opening in the near future.
