The change filter light was lit last week on our refrigerator ice and water dispenser. Larry ordered a filter and on Sunday was going to install it. We Googled how to change the filter. He put it in and pour three gallons of water through it that was recommended. The change filter light didn't go out, but we just thought we would call on Monday to see what else we needed to do. A few hours later I went to the kitchen and saw water on the floor by the refrigerator. Oh no, the long deli draw under the filter was full of water. The more we tried to dry it the more water just kept coming. Larry turned off the water to the house and we pulled out the refrigerator to get to the shut off valve behind it. Pulling out the refrigerator caused more water to cascade across the floor. We used towels, mops and shop vac to get it all up. Larry reinstalled the filter getting the seal tighter. Light off, water stopped, lesson learned. We were very lucky to have found it when we did and that no damage was done.
